The Bartholomew County Commissioners have approved a detour in anticipation of a bridge deck replacement project that will close a portion of State Road 46 for about 90 days.
The bridge on State Road 46/State Road 9 over Otter Creek will be closed from May 1 until Aug. 1, said Danny Hollander, Bartholomew County engineer. The detour route will be to take County Road 100N west until County Road 650E, and then south until East Base Road. The bridge project is being done by the Indiana State Department of Transportation.
