Edinburgh man accused of drug-related charges after traffic stop

An Edinburgh man was arrested on drug charges by Columbus police officers after an early morning traffic stop in Columbus.

Police stopped a vehicle at 1:45 a.m. Tuesday driven by Robert H. Everroad, 48, for a
minor violation, said Lt. Matt Harris, Columbus Police Department spokesman. A short time later, a CPD canine responded to the scene and alerted to the odor of narcotics
inside the vehicle, Harris said.

Officers searched Everroad’s vehicle and located methamphetamine and
Suboxone inside a bottle between the vehicle’s seats, Harris said.

Everroad was placed under arrest and transported to
the Bartholomew County Jail on preliminary charges of possession of methamphetamine and possession of a controlled substance.
