W.D. Richards Elementary, L. Frances Smith Elementary, CSA Lincoln Elementary and Central Middle School

What is your favorite class or part of the school day, and why?

My favorite part of the day is when I cadet teach Algebra 2. I get to improve my math skills and build relationships.

In which extracurricular activities, including music, sports or clubs, do you participate?

I am in the National Honor Society at CSA New Tech.

When you are not in school, what’s your favorite place to be, and why?

My favorite place to be is at home spending time with my family and friends.

What has been your greatest high school memory so far, and why?

My greatest high school memory so far is when I was in class doing my work and got an email saying I got accepted into Indiana State University.

What are you looking forward to after graduation?

I am looking forward to starting my first year in college and living on my own.

Who in your life has inspired you or whom do you look up to, and why?

My teacher, Mr. (Joe) Steele, has inspired me through the years. This year is my third time having him as a teacher. He is very caring and you can tell he has a passion for his job. I can always go to him for advice or if I just need someone to talk to.

What is the most important thing you’ve learned during, or from, high school?

The most important thing I learned from high school is to not care what others think about you. There will always be someone who doesn’t like you or gossip about you. You have to learn to focus on yourself and it doesn’t matter what anyone else thinks. Be yourself!

Draw a picture, write a poem or create something that represents you. It can be anything you choose.

“Don’t let what you cannot do interfere with what you can do.” — John Wooden
