Three arrested after ISP, JNET serve search warrants

An anonymous tip called into the Indiana State Police led to the arrest of three people on numerous drug charges Friday evening.

Detectives from the Indiana State Police Drug Enforcement Section (DES) began a joint investigation with the Bartholomew County Joint Narcotics Enforcement Team (JNET) after receiving the tip about possible drug activity in Columbus near Cherry Street and Illinois Avenue, said Lt. Matt Harris, Columbus Police Department spokesman.

Indiana State Police detectives, JNET, Columbus police and state troopers served search warrants at 102 Cherry St., 112 Cherry St. and 132 Cherry St. on Friday night, Harris said.

Approximately 9 ounces of crystal methamphetamine was seized from the homes along with several items of drug paraphernalia, Harris said.

Arrested were:

  • Doreen A. Streeval, 56, of Columbus: Dealing methamphetamine (Level 2 Felony), possession of methamphetamine, (Level 2 Felony), possession of drug paraphernalia (Class C misdemeanor)
  • Randall L. McMillan, 58, of Columbus: Possession of methamphetamine (Level 4 Felony), possession of paraphernalia (Class C Misdemeanor)
  • Roger K. Burton, 55, of Columbus: Dealing methamphetamine (Level 3 Felony), possession of methamphetamine (Level 4 Felony), trafficking with an inmate (Level 5 Felony), possession of drug paraphernalia (Class C Misdemeanor)
