COLUMBUS, Ind. — A collision between a Monarch Beverage truck filled with alcoholic beverages and a passenger car has closed down two lanes of Central Avenue near 24th Street.
Columbus police said the accident, which occurred sometime around 11:30 a.m., was probably caused when the semi which was delivering alcoholic beverages tried to make a wide turn for a delivery and the car drove into its path on the right.
A special wrecker is being called in to lift the trailer off the car before the two vehicles can be removed.
