Abe Fasbinder of Oesterling Chimney Sweep of Batesville and Columbus is now a National Fireplace Institute Gas Certified Specialist as a result of passing the rigorous institute exam. The institute is a national administered certification program that focuses on knowledge vital to protecting public safety by properly installing and servicing many types of fireplace products available on the market.
Kent Goldsmith and Deron Scudder of Oesterling Chimney Sweep recently passed the Chimney Safety Institute of America’s rigorous exams to become an institute Certified Chimney Sweep. The two passed exams based on standard chimney service practices and fire safety codes and received certification for three years. The exam is based on a reference manual containing technical information on the cleaning, maintenance and repair of chimnes and National Fire Protection Assocation and International Residential code.
