Locals receive degrees from Trine

ANGOLA — Trine University students recently completed requirements to earn their degrees at the end of the spring 2021 semester. Local students included:

— Shaunak Deshmukh,Columbus, mechanical engineering

— Parker Hirsch, Columbus, Doctor of Physical Therapy

— Neil O’Brien, Columbus, mechanical engineering

— Lucas Turner of Columbus, management

— Clayton Wilson of Hope, software engineering

Columbus natives graduate from Cedarville University

CEDARVILLE, OH — Cedarville University conferred 892 degrees at its 125th commencement during three separate religious graduation programs April 30 through May 1 in the Doden Field House. Thee Columbus natives were among those graduating, including:

— Joseph Gregory, MBA

— Justin Daun, ministry (master’s)

— Ashlyn Huffman, science molecular and cellular biology

Huffman was also named to the dean’s honor list for the spring, which requires a GPA of 3.75 or higher.

University of Evansville announces dean’s list

The University of Evansville reported that nearly 800 students earned dean’s list honors for the spring 2021 semester. To {span class=”il”}merit{/span} the honor of being placed on the dean’s List each semester, a student must carry a full academic load of 12 hours or more and earn a grade point average of 3.5 or above.

Local students making the dean’s list included:

— Kent Biehle, North Vernon, neuroscience

— Andrew Cvelbar, Columbus, exercise science

— Henry Kiel, Columbus, studying global business

— Abigail Johnson, Columbus, studying logistics and supply chain management
