VERNON — The Muscatatuck District of the Hoosier Trails Council held its District Pinewood Derby June 5 at the Vernon Gymnasium. Results included:
Lions
Marcus Harris of Columbus Cub Scout Pack 555 won top honors in the Lion Den with a total time of 12.8794 seconds for four races. Serenity Mytyk of North Vernon Pack 576 was second and Whaylen Biggs from North Vernon Pack 536 finished third. Harris also went on to win the Under 16 open race with a total time of 12.9298 seconds.
Tigers
Bentley Manning of Seymour Pack 529 took first place at the Tiger level with a total time of 13.2993. Zane Rossittis of Pack 555 was second and Isaac Simmons from Columbus Pack 559 was third.
Wolves
Andrew Simonton of Pack 555 won the Wolf level race with a total time of 13.0006 seconds. Bennett Kratoska from Seymour’s Pack 529 was second and Cater Stephens from Greensburg Pack 578 took third.
