Teens serve as House pages
Students are serving as Indiana House pages during the 2015 session of the Indiana General Assembly. Pages are able to see how the state Legislature works in a behind-the-scenes tour.
They work alongside legislators, legislative assistants and interns. On session days, pages see how a bill becomes law as they watch legislators on the House floor debate issues. Pages also observe floor sessions of the House, Senate and Supreme Court chambers.
Serving recently were:
- Mert Katirci, junior, Columbus North High School, for Rep. Milo Smith, R-Columbus
- Dietrich Smith, sophomore, Hauser Junior Senior High School, for Rep. Milo Smith, R-Columbus
- Mauro Cumbe, junior, Hauser Junior Senior High School, for Rep. Sean Eberhart, R-Shelbyville
