The can opener blade is soiled with an accumulation of dried food particles. The establishment is canning its own tomato sauce and pickled vegetables. Retail food establishments engaged in the activities of a food processing plant for retail sale must meet the same requirements as a food processing plant. The products are being canned in a “pressure canner.” These products should not be used by the retail food establishment until such time as this department determines that all requirements are being met.
