Less than four months after the Starbucks on North National Road opened, the company began construction of another location on Jonathan Moore Pike.


The new National Road bridge over Haw Creek opened to traffic.


Watches, bracelets, pins, tie bars and necklaces with an estimated value of $450 were taken from the Malcolm Ross Jewelry Store in Eastbrook Plaza in a spate of five weekend break-ins.
