Greensburg
Larry Scott “Scott Pro” Cunningham, 50, of Greensburg, passed away at 2:19 p.m. Friday, April 8, 2016, at Decatur County Memorial Hospital Emergency Room.
He was born on Sept. 21, 1965, in Columbus, the son of Larry R. and Linda L. (Gholson) Cunningham.
He was a lifelong resident of Decatur County and graduated from South Decatur High School in 1983. Scott retired in 2011 from STI in Greensburg. He was a member of the Westport Baptist Church. He was an avid sports fan and loved to watch basketball, baseball and tennis. He also loved to go camping, fishing and traveling.
He married Cheryl Tichenor on June 19, 2003, in Greensburg and she survives.
Other survivors include his parents, Larry and Linda Cunningham of Westport; his daughter, Chelsea (Tim) Ellington of Boaz, Kentucky; his step-daughter, Rebecca (Branden) Emery of Greensburg; his step-sons, Jordan (Emily) Blankman of Mayfield, Kentucky, Brandon (Sarah) Garrison of Kendalville and Rick Dewhurst Jr. of Greensburg; his brothers, Brian (Aimee) Cunningham and Darin (Angie) Cunningham both of Westport; his grandchildren, Olivia and William Ellington, GraceCee and Wesley Garrison, Gunner Dewhurst, Brett and Caleb Bare and Brayden Emery and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his father-in-law, Dale Tichenor and step-son, Richard Garrison.
The funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Tuesday, April 12, 2016, at the Bass & Gasper Funeral Home with the Rev. David A. Scaggs officiating. Burial will follow at the Westport Cemetery. The family will receive visitors from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
