Ricky Joe Cooper, 66, of County Road 300S, passed away Friday, April 15, 2016, at his home.
Ricky was born June 14, 1949, in Bartholomew County, the son of Grover J. and Jane Ann Rouse Cooper.
Ricky retired from Cummins Engine Company in 2004 after 36 years of service.
He enjoyed camping, hunting, and fishing. Ricky also loved his family, especially his chihuahua, Lexi, and was very proud of his brother, David.
The funeral will be conducted at 10 a.m. Wednesday, April 20, 2016, at Jewell-Rittman Family Funeral Home with the Rev. Virgil Clotfelter officiating. Calling will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, April 19, 2016, at the funeral home and one hour prior to the service Wednesday. Burial will be at Bethel Baptist Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Our Hospice of South Central Indiana through the funeral home.
Survivors include his wife, Kimber Lee Cooper of Columbus; children, Jennifer Elaine (Mark) Rose and Chad William Cooper both of Columbus; grandchildren, Elaine Cooper, Lindsey Rose and Haley Rose; great-grandchildren, Isaac and Corbyn Rhoades; and brother, David L. (Rebecca) Cooper of Columbus.
He was preceded in death by his a son, Ricky Joe Cooper Jr.; and his parents, Grover J. and Jane Rouse Cooper.
Services were entrusted to the Jewell-Rittman Family Funeral Home.
