The Columbus Amateur Radio Club will host a free showing of a movie about the DXpedition to Peter I Island.
The showing will be at 7:30 p.m. Oct. 13 at the Red Cross building, 931 Repp Drive.
The 45-minute video documents a journey by several ham radio operators to set up temporary radio stations on a small island 280 miles west of Antarctica to talk to as many other radio operators as possible around the world.
