Eastside Community Center moved its annual free Thanksgiving dinner to the much larger Berean Bible Church gymnasium.

Columbus Board of Public Works and Safety banned parking on Jonathan Moore Pike between Brex Park Drive and Two Mile House Road, a popular stretch for big trucks trying to avoid tight corners in parking lots.

1966

The Christmas season began in Columbus as 28 new light decorations were installed on downtown streets and area banks, and the Cummins Employee Savings Plan mailed out $1,979,000 in Christmas savings checks.
