If it’s a new job you’re after, we can help you update your resume, and you don’t even have to leave home. Visit mybcpl.org/resources and look under the Business and Career Resources. There you’ll find Cypress Resume. This is an easy-to-use tool that will walk you step by step through building your resume.
In our online resource section, you will also find our Testing and Education Resources Center. This handy site provides practice tests for high school, college and job exams. From SAT and GMAT tests to Real Estate and Law Enforcement exams, you can practice them online and help improve your scores.

The online resources page also has a Small Business Resource Center. Here you will find help planning, funding, starting and managing your business, as well as legal forms you might need.
Your library has some great books to help you along as well. If you want to try your hand at online selling, check out “Starting an Etsy Business for Dummies” or “Selling Online 2.0.” Crafty? Check out “How to Create Your Own Jewelry Line” by Emilie Shapiro or “Craft a Creative Business” by Fiona Pullen.
We can help you shed those pesky pounds, too. Check out our nonfiction DVDs for a great selection of yoga, Pilates and cardio workouts. We also have cookbooks to help you along the way.
Check out Taste of Home’s “Healthy Cooking” or “Skinny Slow Cooker.” Taste of Home cookbooks are some of my favorites because they have beautiful color photos with every recipe.
