James Omar “Jim” Speer, 64, of Dupont, died at 6:03 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 18, 2017, at the Water’s of Clifty Falls in Madison.
Survivors include his wife of 44 years, Patricia Ann Neff Speer; a daughter, Brandy Speer of Dupont; two granddaughters; brothers, Thomas Speer of Zenas and Harold W. (Allison) Speer of Versailles; and sisters, Sharon (Kenny) Craft of Dupont, Carol Alexander of Madison and Barbara (Dennis) McIntosh of Commiskey.
He was preceded in death by a son, Shane Marshall Speer.
Funeral service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday at Wirt Baptist Church near Madison, by Pastor Troy Hedges. Calling will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Saturday at Morgan & Nay Funeral Centre in Madison and from 1 p.m. until service time Sunday at the church. Burial will be at Dupont Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Jim Speer Monument Fun through the funeral home.
