Bartholomew County sheriff’s deputies arrested two people after a traffic stop on U.S. 31 North near Edinburgh.
Deputy Andrew Dougan stopped a vehicle clocked at 80 mph in a 55 mph speed zone at 10430 U.S. 31 North at about 6:35 p.m. Wednesday, deputies said.
The driver, Tyne Kelsay, 28, 3035 Seneca Court, Columbus, appeared to be impaired, Dougan said. She was taken to the Bartholomew County Jail on a charge of operating while intoxicated, deputies said.
A male passenger identified himself by multiple names, but was later identified as Javier Baez, 38, Edinburgh, deputies said. He was arrested on a charge of false informing and is being held without bond in the Bartholomew County Jail.

There were two juveniles, ages 10 and 6, who also were in the vehicle, deputies said. One was released to a relative and the other was placed with the Department of Child Services.
