Seymour
Mr. Jerry D. Fish, 78, of Seymour, passed away Sunday, March 12, at Schneck Medical Center.
He was born Feb. 8, 1939, in Seymour, to Horace and Maude (Callahan) Fish. He graduated from Seymour High School in 1956. On June 26, 1960, he married Donna Topie at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Seymour, where they are both members.
Jerry retired from Cummins Engine Company in 1994, but he stayed active in his church and community, and was a Jackson County Commissioner from 1998 to 2006.
He is survived by his wife, Donna; his sons, Brian (Melyssa) Fish and Dr. Eric (Alyson) Fish. Also surviving are five grandchildren, Caryssa, Luke, Haley, Olivia and Anna; and one great-grandson, Eli.
Jerry was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Dr. Mark Fish; a grandson, Jordan; a brother, Keith Fish; and four sisters, Laverne Ballard, Dorene Fleetwood, Marchetta Cummings and Normalee Engleking.
Funeral services will be heldat 10:30 a.m. Thursday, March 16, at Immanuel Lutheran Church with the Rev. Ralph Blomenberg, the Rev. Jimmy Rodriguez, the Rev. Philip Bloch and Vicar Joel Newton officiating. Burial will follow at Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery. Friends may call from 3 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Voss and Sons Funeral Service and from9:30 a.m. until service time Thursday at Immanuel Lutheran Church.
