Danny R. Cross, 56, of Columbus, died unexpectedly at 1:05 a.m. Monday, June 19, 2017, surrounded by family in Elizabethtown.
Danny was baptized on June 7, 2017. He loved his family and loved cooking for them even more. He will be best remembered for his amazing seafood dishes. His steaks were also among the signature dishes that he enjoyed cooking. Danny spent his spare time fishing and was a Star Wars and Batman fanatic. Science fiction and building model battleships were among his hobbies.
The funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday at Barkes, Weaver & Glick Funeral Home on Washington Street with Virgil Clotfelter officiating. Calling will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday and 10 a.m. until service time Friday at the funeral home. Burial will be at Garland Brook Cemetery.

Mr. Cross was born Oct. 25, 1960, to the late Frankie and Cindy Johnson Cross in Columbus.
Survivors include his wife of 15 years, Donna; children, Mark (Maedell) Hankins and Michelle Bullock, both of Columbus; five grandchildren; brothers, Steve Cross of Freetown, Randy Cross of Washington, Frankie Cross Jr. of Columbus; sisters, Brenda (Steve) Ferrell and Tracy Westerkamp, both of Columbus; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his sister, Sheryl (Gary) Robinson.
