COLUMBUS
Francis P. Crider, 65, of Columbus, passed from this life at 12:41 p.m. Monday, July 24, 2017, at St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis.
Mr. Crider retired from Cummins Engine Company in 2002 after 32 years of service.
He was the former owner of Crider’s Towing and enjoyed softball and being outdoors.
A Celebration of Life Service will be conducted at 1 p.m. Saturday, August 19, 2017, at Garden City Church of Christ with Brian Gilroy officiating.
Family and friends may call from 11 a.m. to time of service Saturday, August 19, 2017, at the church.
In keeping with Mr. Crider’s wishes cremation was planned.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimers Association.

Francis was born in Columbus, March 2, 1952, to Lawrence and Alice Bell Crider.
He married Shelly D. Williams on February 14, 2009.
Survivors include his wife; children, Robert Crider and Lori (Kerry) Morrow, both of Columbus; step-children, Ryan Shields and Logan Shields, both of Las Vegas; brothers, George Crider of NC and Mark (Karen) Crider of Columbus; sisters, Jeannie (Larry) Boles and Charlotte (Tim) Spaulding, both of Columbus; grandchildren, Lance and Cameron Crider and Cole and Morgan Morrow.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and a brother, David Crider.
Arrangements were made by Barkes, Weaver & Glick Funeral Home.
