COLUMBUS
Norma J. Neville, 91, of Columbus, died at 8:35 a.m. Thursday, October 26, 2017 at Silver Oaks Health Campus.
Mrs. Neville started working at the age of 16 in 1942 at Arvin Industries in the Communication Services Department, she retired in 1988 after over 40 years of service.
She was a member of Bethel Baptist Church.
She loved going to their cabin on the weekends with her family and enjoying the time together around the bonfire, and also enjoyed mowing.
She had a tremendous love for dogs and was known for taking in any stray that came her way.
Mrs. Neville and her husband enjoyed taking trips to Gatlinburg over the years.
The funeral will be conducted at 11a.m. Tuesday at Barkes, Weaver, & Glick Funeral Home on Washington Street with Pastor Jim Pursley officiating.
Family and friends may call from 9:30a.m. to time of service Tuesday at the funeral home.
Burial will follow at Bethel Baptist Cemetery.

Mrs. Neville was born on June 8, 1926 in Columbus, the daughter of Virgil William and Dorothy B. Vails Taylor.
On August 2, 1946 she married Lindley D. Neville, he preceded her in death on February 18, 2015.
Survivors include her sister, Deloris Fulp of Columbus; four nieces and nephews; and several great-nieces and -nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 68 years; and a daughter, Rebecca Neville.
