Connie Jo Hunter, 68, of Columbus, died unexpectedly at 8:03 p.m. Thursday, December 28, 2017 at her home.

Connie was born August 14, 1949, in Columbus.

She was a member of the Australian Shepherd Club of America (ASCA) for many years. Connie enjoyed spending her time with her dogs, Jiggs and Osa and attending dog shows.

She also liked going to the beach, spending time with her family, friends and working outside.

Survivors include her daughter, Pam (Tom) Nolan of Colorado; three grandchildren; one great-grandson; sister, Sandra Warner of North Vernon, brothers, Donald Butler and Michael (Lisa) Butler, both of Columbus; six nieces, three nephews; six great-nieces, five great-nephews; sister-in-law, Donita Butler of Columbus; and her faithful Australian Shepherds, Jiggs and Osa.

Connie was preceded in death by her parents, Mary and Richard Butler; and brother, Rick Butler.

The funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday, January 6, 2018 at Barkes, Weaver & Glick Funeral Home on Washington Street with Ron Bridgewater officiating. Family and friends may call from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service Saturday at the funeral home. Entombment will be at Garland Brook Mausoleum.
