Parkside Baptist — A sunrise service will take place at 7:28 a.m. April 1 at the church, 1780 Rocky Ford Road, followed by an Easter Cantata at 10:30 a.m. A nursery will be provided during the Cantata. All are welcome to attend.

First Baptist — The Rev. Dan Cash will deliver the message, “God Loves a Parade,” with Scripture from Mark 11:1-11, at the 9:30 a.m. service Sunday at the church, 3300 Fairlawn Drive. The Men of Faith Bible study meets at 6:15 a.m. each Friday at Four Seasons Retirement Center, 1901 Taylor Road.

Flintwood Wesleyan — Breakfast will be served from 8 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. Sunday in The Friendship Center at the church, 5300 E. 25th St., before the combined worship service begins at 10 a.m. There will be no Sunday school. The Prayer Team will meet at 9 a.m. Adult choir practice will be at 5 p.m. followed by the evening service at 6 p.m.
The women’s study group, Connections, meets at 10 a.m. the second and fourth Mondays of the month upstairs in Curry Hall.
A Christian Journey with Paul meets at 6:30 p.m. each Tuesday in The Friendship Center. New members are welcome. Prior classes are not necessary.
On Easter Sunday, the Amplify service will begin at 9 a.m. with a time to mingle and have coffee and donuts from 10 to 10:50 a.m. in The Friendship Center. The Well service will start at 11 a.m. Evening activities will be dismissed.

St. Paul Lutheran — “Your King Comes” will be the title of Pastor Doug Bauman’s sermon for the 8 and 10:45 a.m. services Sunday at the church, 6045 E. State St. Scripture will include Zechariah 9:9-12. Children will be invited to participate in the procession of palms at both services. An Easter egg hunt will follow the 10:45 a.m. service for children up through grade 6.
A Maundy service with communion and stripping of the altar will be conducted at 6:45 p.m. Thursday. The theme of Pastor Bauman’s sermon will be “This is My Body, This is My Blood,” based on Matthew 26:26.
The 10 a.m. Good Friday service will be designed for children and families featuring the theme, “I Must Die.” Scripture will include Matthew 16:21-23. The early childhood children will sing, with family activities following the service from 10:45 to 11:30 a.m.
The Spanish Good Friday service will be at 6:45 p.m. in chapel. Pastor Bauman will deliver the sermon, “Destroy This Temple,” at the Good Friday Communion Service of Darkness beginning at 6:45 p.m.
At 7 a.m. on Easter sunrise Sunday, a 30-minute sunrise devotional service will be conducted in the chapel with Easter festival services to follow at 8 and 10:45 a.m. There’s also a 10:45 a.m. Spanish service in the chapel. An Easter breakfast will be served from 9 to 10:45 a.m.

Westside Community — Pastor Robert Vester will lead the 10 a.m. service Sunday at the church, 124 Tipton Lakes Blvd. The children’s program up through grade 6 will meet at the same time as the worship service.
The church will be having morning Lenten devotions with daily communion from 7 to 7:15 a.m. Monday through Friday of Holy Week.
The Easter worship service will begin at 10 a.m. at FairOaks Mall, 2380 25th St. All are invited to come celebrate.

Old Union United Church of Christ — The message, “A Truly Momentous Moment!,” will be delivered by Pastor Kirby Rupp at the 10 a.m. service Sunday at the church, 12703 N. County Road 50W, Edinburgh. Scripture will include Isaiah 50:4-9a; Philippians 2:5-11; Mark 14:1-15:47. Sunday school will convene at 9 a.m., with fellowship to begin at 9:40 a.m.
Bible study will begin at 6 p.m. Wednesday.
Maundy Thursday will take place at 6:30 p.m. this Thursday at Taylorsville United Methodist Church, 1361 Tannehill Road, Taylorsville. The next day, a Good Friday service will be at 6:30 p.m. at the church.
The church will have its Easter sunrise service at 6:45 a.m. April 1.

Petersville United Methodist — Worship service begins at 9 a.m. Sunday at the church, 2781 N. County Road 500E, Petersville, with the Parade of Palms to celebrate Palm Sunday. The Rev. Stormy Scherer-Berry will deliver the message, “Sit Up,” and liturgist Deb Loper will share Scripture from John 12:12-16. Music will be provided by the choir, directed by Kathy Bush and accompanied by Chris Kimerling. Teresa Covert will give the children’s message. A time of fellowship will follow the service, and the pastor will lead a Lenten study beginning at 10:30 a.m.
The Baker’s Dozen Bible study meet at 6:30 p.m. Monday at the home of Larry and Connie Nolting. The Journey Bible study will meet at the home of Chris Kimerling, also at 6:30 p.m. Monday. Sit ‘N’ Stitch will meet at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Nolting home.
Choir practice will begin at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday at the church, and the Prayer group led by Barb Hedrick will meet at 10 a.m. Thursday, also at the church.

Easter morning services on April 1 will begin with a sunrise service at 7 a.m. A breakfast provided by the women’s and men’s groups will be at 7:45 a.m. “Joyful Easter” will be celebrated at the 9 a.m. worship service.

Parkside Baptist Easter — The church will host its Easter egg hunt from noon to 1:30 p.m. March 31 at 1780 Rocky Ford Road. There will be door prizes, a snack and a telling of the Easter story. The egg hunt will be grouped by age: Pre-K and kindergarten; grades 1 to 3; and grades 4 to 6. All are welcome to attend.

Tuesday Connection support groups — A collection of various eight-week support groups for adults, teens and children will begin at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday at Community Church of Columbus, 3850 N. Marr Road. Dinner will be available at 5:30 p.m., and child care will be provided for children under the age of 3 with pre-registration. Groups offered include: Griefshare, for those who have experienced the loss of a loved one; Love and Respect, a marriage enrichment series; Embrace Grace, a mentoring group for young women with an unintended pregnancy; Starting Point, intended for seekers of faith; Insight, a group for adults who have a loved one with an addiction; Celebrate Recovery, a recovery support program; The Landing, intended for teens; and Hero Training Camp, a program from prekindergarten through grade 6. Flintwood Wesleyan — Kolby Mitchell, a senior youth of the church, will be raising money with a car show from 1 to 3 p.m. today in the parking lot of the church, 5300 25th St. Proceeds will fund a makeover of the church’s handicap ramp. Entry fee: $10 per car. Donations will also be accepted. The public is invited.
All Wednesday activities resume this week.
The annual Easter egg hunt will take place at 10 a.m. March 31 at the church, 5300 E. 25th St., with registration and sign-in beginning at 9:30 a.m.
QuarterMania returns the morning of April 7 at the church. Doors will open at 9 a.m. with an auction to begin at 11 a.m. There will be 13 on-site vendors and breakfast and lunch items will be available for purchase. Paddles to bid are $5 each. Quarters are required to bid. All proceeds go to the Building Hope building fund.

Westside Community — The second annual Easter egg hunt will take place at 2 p.m. today at the church, 124 Tipton Lakes Blvd. More than 5,000 eggs among four age divisions, from birth through grade 6, will be hidden. Attendees can enjoy snacks, pet bunnies, take home treats and hear the good news about what Jesus did. Bring a basket or use bags provided by the church.

Faith Lutheran — The church will present “The Last Living Supper,” a chancel drama that shows the ministry of Jesus through the eyes of his disciples, at 4 and 7 p.m. Sunday at 3600 25th St.
A workshop entitled “The Basics: Memory Loss, Dementia and Alzheimer’s Disease,” will take place from 4:30 to 6 p.m. at the church for anyone who would like to know more about Alzheimer’s disease and related dementias. The workshop will provide information about detection, causes and risk factors, stages of the disease and treatment.

First United Methodist — Cause for Critters Garage Sale, Rachel Cialdella’s senior project, will be from 8 a.m. to noon today in the Fellowship Hall of the church, 618 Eighth St. All proceeds will benefit the Bartholomew County Humane Society in memory of Jacqueline Watts, who was known for her avid love for and care of animals. Items not sold will be donated to San Souci and Mountain Mission.
