FRANKLIN — Jonah Wichman went 4 for 5, and Julian Greenwell and Cole Gilley combined on a four-hitter Thursday to lead Columbus East to a 6-1 win at Franklin.

Greenwell allowed three hits and a run and struck out 10 in five innings. Gilley gave up one hit and struck out four in two scoreless innings.

Gilley also went 3 for 4 with a double for the Olympians (15-7).

Lancers rout Mohawks

WALDRON — Zach Giles threw a one-hitter, and Edinburgh wrapped up second place in the Mid-Hoosier Conference with an 18-1, five-inning win at Waldron.

Bryce Burton went 3 for 3 with a double and three RBIs, Gabe Wilson went 3 for 3 with a double, Zach Murphy went 3 for 4 with two RBIs, and Coltan Henderson went 2 for 2 with a double and four RBIs for the Lancers (11-9, 9-3). Parker Bryant went 2 for 4 with two RBIs.

Bears blank Panthers

SHELBYVILLE — Shelbyville scored seven times in the first two innings and went on to hand Jennings County a 10-0, five-inning defeat.

The Panthers (3-18) were limited to five hits.

Warriors edge East

SCOTTSBURG — Columbus East led 1-0 going to the bottom of the seventh, but Scottsburg scored a run to tie it, then pushed across a run in the ninth to pull out a 2-1 win.

Brooke Valles went 2 for 4 and threw an eight-hitter for the Olympians (10-11).

Lancers win title share

WALDRON — Maddi Clark threw a one-hitter and Edinburgh knocked off Waldron 12-0 in five innings to tie Hauser for the MHC title.

Paige Burton went 3 for 3 with a double and a triple, and Sidney Beier went 2 for 3 with a home run and three RBIs for the Lancers (12-7, 10-1). Kaitlyn Bailey and Clark each went 2 for 4 with a double, and Vanessa McManaway went 2 for 4.

Cougars topple Crusaders

Erynn Dyer threw a three-hitter to lead South Decatur to a 30-4, five-inning win at Columbus Christian.

The Cougars (5-14) pounded out 22 hits, including triples by Sam Goodfellow and Chloee Smith. The Crusaders fell to 2-5.

Knights nip Panthers

NORTH VERNON — Jennings County outhit South Dearborn 7-4, but the Knights pulled out a 4-3 win.

Skylar Weber went 2 for 3 with a double for the Panthers (11-12). Maddi Skinner and Lexi South each went 2 for 3.

Olympians victorious

Kody Reynolds won medalist honors with a 1-under-par 35 to lead Columbus East to a 159-188 win against Batesville at Otter Creek.

Mark Mayhew carded a 36 for the Olympians. Adrian Adams added a 42, Avery Foist shot 46, Layton Erfmeier had a 51, Cole Schaefer finished with a 54 and Leo Shelp had a 58.

Jets post triumph

Justin Compton won medalist honors with a 36 to lead Hauser to a 186-198 win against Morristown at Clifty Creek.

Ethan Wallace carded a 48 for the Jets. Justin Stafford and Matt Sweet each shot 51, Sam Johnson added a 54, Justice Gilliland had a 58 and Keagan Miller finished with a 66.

Seymour tops Trinity

SEYMOUR — Trinity Lutheran saw its season come to an end with a 4-1 loss to Seymour in the Seymour Sectional, but Courtney Barker advanced in the singles tournament with a 6-3, 6-2 win against Grace Otte at No. 1 singles.

Abby Schult fell to Abby Schult 6-1, 6-0 at No. 2 singles, and Lauren Voss fell to Peyton Levine 6-0, 6-0 at No. 3 singles for the Cougars (5-10). Missy Pruett and Lauren Fleetwood fell to Madison Pifer and Kristina Griffin 6-1, 6-0 at No. 1 doubles, and Cassidy Burnside and Katelyn Mensendiek lost to Mallory Moore and Avery Ragon 6-1, 6-1 at No. 2 doubles.
