ELLETTSVILLE — Brown County opened the postseason Monday with a 6-2 win against Sullivan in the Class 3A Edgewood Sectional.
Emma Summers threw a four-hitter for the Eagles (16-3), who will play Edgewood in Wednesday’s semifinals.
Aubrey Hollander went 2 for 3 with a double to lead Brown County at the plate. Adri Kritzer and Kylie Herald each went 2 for 3, Sara Fishel went 2 for 4 with a double and Allison Stogsdill went 2 for 4.
Panthers rained out
BEDFORD — Jennings County was rained out of its first-round Bedford North Lawrence Sectional game against the host Stars. The first-round games have been rescheduled for today.
