City prepares for ribbon-cutting ceremony for State Street renovation

Business owners along State Street hope to see more growth and development after an investment of more than $4 million by the city to revitalize the area.

The Columbus Redevelopment Commission will hold a ribbon-cutting ceremony at 4 p.m. Tuesday on the Haw Creek bridge to mark the completion of the State Street bridge and corridor project.

Among improvements that have been made so far as part of the broader State Street Revitalization Project include two green spaces, new sidewalks, a multi-use trail and other features.
