Panthers qualify

MADISON —Jennings County qualified for Thursday’s Providence Regional with a third-place finish in Monday’s Madison Sectional.

The Panthers finished with a 339 at Sunrise to claim the final qualifying spot. Madison won with a 308 to 330 for Southwestern (Hanover).

Adam Leach led Jennings with a 79. Bryce Kirchner carded an 82, Justin Gasper added an 88, Austin Roscoe shot 90 and Hunter Conrad had a 110.

Eagles individual advances

BLOOMINGTON — Brown County finished eighth with a 399 in the Bloomington North Sectional, but Parker VanNess advanced to the regional as an individual. Bloomington South (324), Bedford North Lawrence (330) and Bloomington North (344) claimed the regional-qualifying spots.

VanNess carded a 78 at Bloomington Country Club, which tied for the day’s third-best score, but he was the low individual not on a qualifying team. Ben Rygiel added a 100 for the Eagles, while Curtis Lookebill shot 105 and Brendon Asher had a 116.

Trinity Lutheran finished sixth with a 380. Jacob Keith led the Cougars with a 91, while Noah Criswell carded a 98, Mark Shoemaker added a 95, Ryland Nierman shot 96 and Josiah Foster had a 118.

Lancers take 12th

GREENWOOD — Edinburgh finished 12th with a 490 in the Center Grove Sectional at Hickory Stick. Top-ranked Center Grove (288), Franklin (309) and Roncalli (317) claimed the regional qualifying spots.

Bladen Hancock led the Lancers with an 87. Noah Childers added a 130, Zack Burton shot 132 and Darius Bennett had a 141.
