Be prepared for the sky to light up with a patriotic flair — or perhaps that could be flare — on July 3 when QMIX Musical Fireworks 30: Red, White and Boom fires away at Columbus Municipal Airport. Family-oriented festivities begin at 5:30 p.m. around Ivy Tech Community College and the Columbus Learning Center on Central Avenue in Columbus. Organizers estimaate that the actual fireworks show, synchronized to music on QMIX 107.3 FM radio, will begin at 10 p.m.
