The Women’s Giving Circle of Bartholomew County is seeking grant proposals from Bartholomew County nonprofits for projects benefiting local women and families.
Grant applications are available at heritagefundbc.org and need to be submitted by Aug. 31.
Nonprofit agencies are invited to submit grant requests for projects focusing on self-sufficiency for women, women in crisis, educational opportunities for women and youth, parental support and empowerment.
Since its first grant cycle in 2011, the Women’s Giving Circle has awarded grants totaling more than $100,000 to agencies and programs including Girls on the Run, Teen Dating Violence Awareness, Relative Caregiver Program, Initiative to Achieve Self-Sufficiency through Employment & Training and SMART Girls.
Last year, the giving circle raised an additional $8,000 for the Turning the Page Project to purchase books featuring positive female role models for local schools and public libraries.
