Rose Marie Voelz, 88, of Columbus, passed away Monday, July 16, 2018 at Columbus Transitional Care.
She was born September 28, 1929 in Edmonton, Kentucky, to the late Alfred and Elizabeth Thompson Rowe.
She was a member of the Pleasant Grove Presbyterian Church in Metcalfe County, Kentucky and was retired from Four Seasons Healthcare.
Her hobbies included gardening, fishing and sewing.
Funeral services will be held at noon Friday, July 20, 2018 at Jewell-Rittman Family Funeral Home with Virgil Clotfelter officiating. Burial will follow at Garland Brook Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until noon Friday at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
Rose Marie is survived by her husband, Michael Voelz; a daughter, Barbara Abner of Columbus, a son, Ron (Patty) Brock of Columbus; two stepsons, Michael and Darrell Voelz of Columbus; a brother, Henry Rowe of Louisville, Kentucky, two sisters, Marie Janes of Columbus and Linda (Larry) Carmer of Louisville, Kentucky; five grandchildren, Matt (Kelly) Sullivan, Jeffrey Brock, Brian (Gina) Sullivan, Lisa (Corey) Crutchfield and Jared (Megan) Brock; and 10 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Jeffrey Brock; a daughter-in-law, Debra Brock; and a sister, Marjorie Staples.
