A Lunch and Learn program about how employers can be proactive in dealing with opioids in the workplace is planned Aug. 16 at Mill Race Center, 900 Lindsey St.
“The Proactive Role Employers Can Take: Opioids in the Workplace” will be 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m., led by Maria Satterfield, Our Hospice of South Central Indiana human resources manager. The event is geared toward temporary staffing agencies, but any employer is welcome to attend. Participants will receive a toolkit to guide policy and practice in their own organizations.
Satterfield has been in the human resource field for more than 30 years with most of her experience in the manufacturing sector. She is a member of the ASAP (Alliance for Substance Abuse Progress in Bartholomew County) Prevention Team.
The program and lunch are free, but pre-registration is requested to ensure sufficient materials are available. People who wish to attend are asked to pre-register by sending your name and number of people attending to [email protected] no later than Aug. 14.
