Cummins to sponsor No. 14 for Stewart-Haas Racing

Cummins will sponsor the No. 14 Ford Fusion entered by the Stewart-Haas racing team, debuting at the Aug. 18 Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series race at Bristol (Tennessee) Motor Speedway.

The announcement was made by the racing team and Cummins today. Clint Bowyer will drive the car with Cummins sharing primary sponsorship with Rush Truck Centers.

Cummins will also be a sponsor for the No. 14 Ford for the Oct. 14 race at Talledega, (Alabama) Superspeedway.

Cummins’ association with motorsports dates back to the first Indianapolis 500 in 1911 when company founder Clessie Cummins was on the pit crew of the race-winning Marmon Wash with driver Ray Harroun.

Tony Stewart, who co-owns Stewart-Haas Racing with Haas Automation founder Gene Haas, is a native of Columbus, Indiana, the global headquarters for Cummins.
