Broughton named Indiana All-Stars game director

Mike Broughton and his team had a blast when he coaching the 1996 Indiana All-Star boys basketball squad.

Now that he’s been named game director for the All-Stars, Broughton wants coaches and players to have that same positive experience. The Jennings County athletics director was selected this week to replace Charlie Hall, who has been game director the past 10 years.

“We have a good series now, and I’m hoping to make it better,” Broughton said. “I’m hoping to give the kids the same experience I did when I coached the team in ’96. I hope the kids in the future have a tenth as much fun as we had because that was great.”
