Movie-night fundraiser today in Hope

A movie fundraiser will be held tonight on the Hope Town Square, where the Disney film “Moana” will be shown.

The Students Fund of Hope event will raise money for the families of Trevor Frazee, a Hauser senior who died Aug. 23 at his home from an acute heart-related issue; and Hauser students Erin Newcomb, Sarah Vanderlind, Veronica McKinney and John Bragg, who were injured in an Aug. 29 car accident near the school. Newcomb was the most seriously injured of the four, with traumatic brain injury. She improved to stable condition this week.

The event gets underway at 7 p.m. with crafts, refreshments and children’s activities. The outdoor showing of the animated musical adventure film shown starts at 8 p.m. Families are encouraged to bring lawn chairs or picnic blankets.

Most activities include the movie are free, but free-will donations will be accepted. Students Fund of Hope is sponsoring the event.
