A local man was arrested Sunday after security camera footage helped identify him during an investigation about a stolen vehicle.
Bartholomew County Sheriff’s Department deputy Frank Munoz was sent to the 700 block of Jonesville Road at 7:47 a.m. Sunday about a vehicle theft.
Security camera footage showed the suspect was Ethen Robertson, 20, of 3127 13th St., deputies said.
A short time later, at about 9 a.m., Robertson was located while still in the stolen vehicle by Columbus police after he tried to use a credit card fraudulently at a Columbus gas station.
Robertson was arrested on preliminary charge of theft and operating a motor vehicle without receiving a license, deputies said.
He was being held in the Bartholomew County Jail in lieu of $12,500 bond, jail officials said.
