Residents who still need a ride to the voting centers in Bartholomew County can call representatives from the Republican and Democratic parties.
The Bartholomew County Republican Party will provide rides if they call party Chairwoman Barb Hackman at 812-350-5124. Hackman said the GOP had provided one ride so far on election day.
The Bartholomew County Democratic Party is also offering transportation until the polls close at 6 p.m., said Bob Hyatt, party chairman. Hyatt said Democrats had provided 15 to 20 rides so far. Those needing a ride to a voting center may call Democratic headquarters at 812-418-8594, he said.
