INDIANAPOLIS — Bartholomew County’s Soil and Water Conservation District was one of four districts honored at the Indiana Association of Soil and Water Conservation District annual conference at the Indianapolis Marriott downtown.
Bartholomew County was honored along with Adams, Marion and Porter counties with the District Showcase Award on Jan. 15.
Indiana Corn Marketing Council and Indiana Soybean Alliance were the sponsors of the awards luncheon that Kevin Gregory, RTV6 chief meteorologist, emceed.
Individuals and organizations received awards for their commitment to protecting Indiana’s natural resources and for their education and outreach in their communities regarding water quality and soil health.
