Lowry-Patel wedding

Kelly Lowry and Palak Patel were married in two ceremonies celebrating both of their cultural ancestries over the New Year’s holiday in Indianapolis.

A traditional Hindu ceremony was held Dec. 31 at the Alexander Hotel in Indianapolis in a service conducted by Badrinath Sapkote. A traditional American ceremony took place Jan. 1 in a service performed by Anita S. Lowry. A reception followed at the hotel.

The bride is the daughter of James and Nancy Lowry of Columbus. She is a coordinator of WellConnect at Columbus Regional Hospital.

The groom is the son of Kirendra and the late Jyoti Patel of Talbott, Tennessee. He is employed at Cummins Engine Co.

The matrons of honor were Kyle Witting of Alexandra, Kentucky and Anupa Patel of Lubbock, Texas. Bridesmaids were Krista Seaton of Evansville and Leticia McKinney of Indianapolis. The flower girl was Ameera Farooq of Lubbock, Texas.

The best man was Jeremiah Ely of Fishers. The groomsmen were Josh Wilhelm of Indianapolis, David Hines of McCordsville and Jason Cleary of Greenwood. The ring-bearers were Luca Witting of Alexandra, Kentucky and Armaan Farooq of Lubbock, Texas.

The couple resides in Columbus.
