BCSC considers going to a block schedule for its three high schools

Bartholomew Consolidated School Corp. presented a proposal Monday to the school board to change the course schedule in all three BCSC high schools.

The corporation is seeking ways to make its motto — “Deeper learning works” — go even deeper.

One way of doing that, Columbus North Principal David Clark said, is by considering a block schedule, which means students would alternate different classes between two days and have longer class periods. Teachers would also have a planning period built in to the schedule each week.
