A local man was arrested early Sunday morning on multiple warrants and was accused of methamphetamine possession after he entered a west side Columbus restaurant and was spotted by CPD officers who were eating a late meal.
At approximately 2 a.m., CPD officers observed Samuel T. Allison, 30, enter the restaurant in the 2200 block of W. Jonathan Moore Pike, said Lt. Matt Harris, Columbus Police Department spokesman.
The officers immediately recognized Allison and recalled that he had multiple warrants for his arrest through Bartholomew, Fountain, and Marion counties.
Allison was taken into custody without incident and the officers reportedly located a small bag of methamphetamine while searching his clothing, Harris said.
Allison was transported to the Bartholomew County Jail and remanded on the multiple warrants as well as possession of methamphetamine, a Level 6 felony.
