Around Town – April 28

Thought for the Day

• “Weapons are like money; no one knows the meaning of enough.”

• — Martin Amis

Orchids to …

• Mike Metz and his C4 students from the Sierra Club for building 13 bat boxes for our pollinator project.

• the lady at the gas station who graciously bought my pop!

• those in ministry who work long hours to lead Maundy Thursday, Good Friday, and multiple Easter services during Holy Week; their Saturday is a day of rest, study, and preparation for Sunday services and the only day they could mow their own yard.

• the man who puts up with my ranting and silliness and manages to still stay so silent — I love you.

• Ian and the auto maintenance team and volunteers at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church for such a gift of hard work and help at the auto clinic on Saturday, from Lincoln-Central Neighborhood Family Center.

• neighbors on Cottage Avenue for constantly making their yard beautiful, the best in the neighborhood; keep it up!

• Mike Eudy for being a great neighbor and mowing our yard.

Happy Birthday to …

• David Wasson.
