• the recycling truck driver who got out of his truck to pick up recycling items that had blown all over yards at the Sycamore Bend neighborhood on Thursday morning.

• the city engineering department and Duke Energy for their prompt service in changing our street light.

• Jordan Maley for organizing the event for people at the emergency shelter.

• Suzanne Diehn and Daisy and the Clifty Creek Elementary School for the day of caring they delivered to me today, because it made my day, from Mary.

• all the volunteers from United Way for cleaning up my yard, from Mary.

Onions to …

• the courts for the mandated dog-and-pony show of mediation.

• the president for putting an additional burden on the American people by putting tariffs on goods that the American people must pay.

• those who don’t realize that the cost of tariffs come out of American pockets, not Chinese.

• the banks and financial institutions that are constantly merging so that executives can walk away with golden parachutes while the account holders are highly inconvenienced.

• the president whose policies toward China, Iran and North Korea are upsetting the markets and impacting retirement investments.

• the president for claiming to be the most transparent president but won’t divulge college test scores or tax returns, and pays money to hush his extramarital affairs.

• to sick cashiers who should stay home and to managers who let those sick cashiers touch hundreds of products a day.

• those for not having trash cans at Petersville Park.

• the president for his continuing to campaign around the country to those who already support him.

• school bus drivers who speed through red lights.

• people who don’t pick up their dogs’ waste at the dog park.

• people that still can’t grasp that we don’t have enough money to protect everyone from everything.

• not being able to see the new stop sign with the blinkers on it on at County Road 600 and Marr Road going west, because the tree limbs need to be cut.

• the president raising tariffs from 10 percent to 25 percent, which raises the prices of consumer goods.
