Deputies, ISP investigating shooting in Jonesville

Bartholomew County Sheriff deputies and Indiana State Police arrested a local woman on a preliminary charge of criminal recklessness with a deadly weapon after a shooting in Jonesville.

Deputies and officers were sent to the shooting at about 3:30 p.m. Sunday in the 300 block of Jackson Street in Jonesville.

Bartholomew County Sheriff Matt Myers said investigators arrested Vicki Shade, 51, on Sunday afternoon.

The shooting victim, who was 49-years-old, was listed in stable condition Sunday afternoon in an undisclosed Indianapolis hospital after being flown there by helicopter, Myers said.

Bartholomew County Sheriff’s deputies and Indiana State Police are investigating a shooting reported in the 300 block of Jackson Street in Jonesville.

One person was flown by helicopter to an Indianapolis hospital with a gunshot wound, according to Sheriff Matt Myers.

The incident was reported at about 3:30 p.m. Sunday.

Myers said a search warrant was being obtained for the location of the shooting.

The Columbus Police Department and Seymour police were assisting at the scene.

Myers said no further information was being released on Sunday afternoon.
