Water rescue team helps woman stuck in flood water

The Bartholomew County Water Rescue Team were sent to help a woman who lives in the Ferguson Road area who told sheriff deputies she was stuck inside her home with a foot of water due to the recent heavy rainfall.

Water rescue team members went to the scene and used a small boat across fast-flowing water to bring the woman to safety, deputies said.

Road closed signs were put up to the entrance to South Ferguson Road due to the high water.
