Robert and Irene Hockersmith of North Vernon are celebrating their 60th wedding anniversary.
Mr. Hockersmith and his wife, the former Irene Tempest, were married Aug. 30, 1959 at New Bethel United Methodist Church.
He retired from Cummins.
She is a housewife.

They have three children, Scott Hockersmith (Tina) and Julie Diekoff (Joe), both of North Vernon, and Janice Burton (Judson) of Valparaiso; and six grandchildren.
