• the city for the “junkets to Asia” that led to the 24 Japanese manufacturers in Columbus who provide jobs for thousands in our community.

• Christine for kindly buying my lunch, from Kristen.

• the person that turned in the $40 that I left at the self checkout on Whitfield Drive.

• people who understand that if what you did wasn’t wrong, you don’t need to try to cover it up.

• the sweet woman at the McDonald’s drive-thru for brightening my day on Friday morning.

• Bob Pitman for his wonderful letter.

• the One and Done Band for their gift of music to the Class of 1969 reunion, because it was appreciated and enjoyed by all.

• Scott Begley for being my new workout partner and pushing me this week, because I can barely walk and feel great, from Barry McCochiner.

• the person at the Hot Rods and Rock and Roll event who found my car keys and turned them in, and to the wonderful staff at The River who helped me, from Nancy Schoenbein.

• the motorists who watch out for squirrels, who are busily gathering their winter food.

• the pro-life/right-to-life presentation plus dinner at the fairgrounds.

• the brave patriots who are protecting our democracy and launching an impeachment investigation.

• everyone who attended the Arby Wilmer’s 59th annual stag fish fry at the Bartholomew County 4-H Fairgrounds, from the Wilmer family.

• the gentleman who helped my niece with her father at the restaurant on Friday morning.

• the few irresponsible train operators who do not understand train horn regulations.

• anyone who considers treason and a radio pledge to be on the same level.

• the city powers and marathon organizers for crippling our city.

• anyone who doesn’t believe the Democratic chairman of the House Intelligence Committee is untruthful.

• those who continually tout the 44th president and his failed presidency.

• those who refuse to accept that the climate has been changing since time immemorial, and will continue to do so regardless of what we mortals may do.

• millennial parents who think the sky is falling every time something shows up on social media.

• the former president because Trump has done more in his sleep than his predecessor did in eight years.

• restaurants that play loud music.

• the vice president for taking a motorcade through Mackinac Island.

• company employees who use the center turn lane as an entrance lane, causing dangerous driving conditions.

• the powers-that-be in Columbus that insist on making it difficult to for people that live and work in Columbus to play ring-around-the-marathon to get to work.
