A Bartholomew County Sheriff’s deputy investigating a suspicious vehicle arrested a Franklin man on drug-related charges.

Deputy Sgt. Jason Lancaster was sent to Heritage Heights Mobile Home Park about the suspicious vehicle at 8:35 a.m. Tuesday.

After locating the vehicle and making contact with a male subject identified as Cody Morris, 27, Franklin, Morris was found to have an outstanding Shelby County warrant, deputies said.

Deputies found that Morris had methamphetamine, a syringe, marijuana and another controlled substance, according to the arrest report.

Due to medical issues associated with recent drug use, Morris was taken to Columbus Regional Hospital for clearance before he was transported to the Bartholomew County Jail on preliminary charges of possession of a controlled substance, possession of methamphetamine, possession of marijuana, possession of legend drug injection device and an out-of-county warrant for failure to appear for auto theft, deputies said.

Morris remains in jail being held in lieu of $123,500 bond, jail officials said.
