Restructuring of shift lengths and number of days worked and staggering of shifts was instituted by Bartholomew County Sheriff’s Department in an effort to put more officers on the street without having to hire a deputy.

Lincoln Elementary School Principal Joel Metzler was selected a 1994 Principal of the Year by the Indiana Association of School Principals.
