INDIANAPOLIS — Indiana Gov. Eric Holcomb has made several appointments of local people to state agencies and boards. They include:
Judicial Nominating Commission: Katie Glick, Columbus, agribusiness strategy manager at Ice Miller. Glick, a 2008 graduate of Purdue University, worked on former Indiana Governor Mitch Daniels’ re-election campaign in 2008 as a deputy finance director then as a project coordinator in the mayor’s office at the City of Indianapolis. In 2009, she returned to the Indiana Republican Party as the finance director for the Governor’s Aiming Higher PAC. In 2011, she continued to work on the PAC in addition to her role as director of operations for the Governor’s Aiming Higher, Inc. organization. She then joined the Indiana Soybean Alliance, Indiana Corn Marketing Council and Indiana Corn Growers Association as the public affairs and industry relations director. Katie is involved with The Policy Circle as co-chair of the Indiana Leadership Council and serves as chair of the Women’s Giving Circle of Bartholomew County. She is actively involved with her national fraternity, Alpha Chi Omega, and is a member of the Purdue Fraternity, Sorority and Cooperative Life Alumni Advisory Council. Katie is a graduate and former board member of the Richard G. Lugar Excellence in Public Service Series and is a member of the American Enterprise Institute Leadership Network. She serves on the U.S. Global Leadership Coalition’s Indiana Advisory Committee and is a member of the American Legion Auxiliary, among other local and national organizations. Katie served as the young farmer chair for the Marion County Farm Bureau in Indianapolis and is a 10-year 4-H member. In 2017, Katie was awarded the Emerging Voice Award by the Purdue College of Liberal Arts. She is originally from Martinsville and now resides in Columbus with her husband and daughter on their family farm.
